Webkinz World Working Again+KC+ Closed

Webkinz World, Webkinz Newz, and Ganz eStore are all working again.

Webkinz players could log in again at 1 AM, but not all of them successfully. As the day went on, it seems as if more and more problems are being fixed.

Kinz Chat+ is CLOSED.
Ganz stated on their Twitter feed about an hour ago, that,

We're taking KC+ down for now. Our monitoring tools aren't working properly, and we've got to be safe. Will let you know when it's back.

However, just plain Kinz Chat is still working.

Webkinz Mystic Moon Bear Promotion

Remember the Webkinz Mystic Moon Bear, which we wrote about in this post?
Well, the way to go about getting one has been revealed...

Purchase 75,000 eStore points and get a bonus Mystic Moon Bear adoption code free.

The advantage to this is that with the eStore points, you can get several other pets.
The disadvantage?
This is the only way to get the Mystic Moon Bear, as of this report.

Quite a Few Updates Wednesday, August 3

There were quite a few updates this Wednesday in Webkinz World.

FIRST UP!

The eStore (the one already in WW) has been updated.

You can now buy virtual Mazin' Hamsters, pets, charms and figurines directly from the eStore in Webkinz World.

There's a new theme at the W-Shop!
Come to think of it, there's a new theme every month.
Anyhow, this theme is the Super Fan Theme.

I really do like the theme--it's like an upgraded version of the Trading Card themes. What do you think?
Crazy for Webkinz Carpet---525 KC
Devoted to Webkinz Sofa---950 KC
Superfan Study Station---420 KC
Superfan Swivel Chair---175 KC
Superfan Wallpaper--125 KC
Webkinz World Widescreen---1225 KC
Superfan Flooring---150 KC
The second half should appear during the next major update, which is August 17.

The Rooster POTM Video is now working at Webkinz Newz.
Now you can listen to the August 2011 Pet of the Month, the Rooster, sing "It's A Beautiful Day" at Webkinz Newz. Afterward, answer some trivia to win a Farmer's Wife Straw Hat for your pet.

5 new recipes have been added.
They are Mataruck-Lucks, Glopsrisma, Keeleebabs, Wanapaneer, and Worblewraps. 2 are made on the stove, 2 in the blender, and one on the sandwich maker.

There are 5 new Adoption Exclusives at the Wish Factory.
They are the Speedy Scooter, Enchanted Garden Fountain, Happily Ever After Cake, Wild Water Ski, and Bubble Wrap Chair. For some reason, however, the Bubble Wrap Chair only goes in underwater rooms, not indoor rooms. Ganz has stated that they are looking into the issue.

In additional news, for some reason, the Yellow Springtime Chick is available at the eStore again.
What is strange about this is that the Chick is a Seasonal eStore Pet, last sold in March 2011. Also, a Blue Springtime Chick and Purple Springtime Chick were for sale also. This time, just the Yellow Chick is for sale.

And, last but not least...
The PSI and PSF for all the September 2011 Pets have been revealed!
In a surprise move, they are all revealed at the same time!
First, the Brilliant Bandit...

Eh. The dress is cool, but I'm still not liking the sequins.

...And then the Dodo Bird.

I love the PSI! Clever.

And now the Harmony Puppy!

The pet's still cute as ever!

Now, the Signature pet for the month, the Black Footed Ferret.

The ferret looks really cool, and the PSI looks nifty!

And then we have a pet that wasn't announced previously: The Big Top Elephant. This is a Virtual-Only pet, and we haven't been told how one would go about getting one.

Cute~

Pumpkin Puppy PSI and PSF!

Ganz has recently released the virtual image for this year's Halloween pet, the Pumpkin Puppy.

The Pumpkin Puppy with its PSI, the Spooky Jack-O-Lantern Chair, and its PSF, Trickier Treats.

I like the PSF, but the PSI is lacking somewhat. Maybe it's animated?
The virtual image is very cute, simple and unique.

I give this pet 8/10 stars. What do you think?

Webkinz Signature Orange Tabby PSI and PSF!

And to wrap up the August 2011 collection of Webkinz, Ganz has just released the PSI and PSF for the Webkinz Signature Orange Tabby Cat.

The Sig. Orange Tabby with its PSI, the Cool Cat String Swing, and its PSF, Duck a L'Orange.

The PSI is really cool. I love the daisies! And the PSF is...interesting...I hope that's tofu...
I give this pet 9/10 stars. What do you think?

Webkinz Lynx and Webkinz Peace Unicorn PSI and PSF revealed

The Lynx comes with a Relaxing Rocky Sauna and Rocky Rib Rack.

The Peace Unicorn comes with the Harmony Hammock and some Peaceful Pancakes.

The Virtual Image for the Lynx isn't exactly what I was expecting. It looks more like an old and wise Webkinz, rather than the adventurous and outgoing Webkinz I had expected.
This pet gets 8 out of 10 stars.

Here's the Mystic Pony for comparison.

As for the Peace Unicorn...I'm bothered by how much it looks like the Mystic Pony, but this is also a good thing--they could be twins!
This pet gets 8 out of 10 stars, too.

Lots of new features in Webkinz World!

Lots of new things have been added in today's update!
Firstly, we have 2 new party packs in the W-Shop: the Beach Party and the Summer Party.

To celebrate Friendship Month, you can now add Webkinz Hosts as friends.
Don't send the requests from your phone: they'll request you! You must complete a specific task for each host, however:
Arte Fact: Look for gems in the Gem Hunt.
Ms. Cowoline: Complete 3 classes at the Kinzville Academy.
Debbie: Buy a ticket at the Travel Agency.
Sheldon: Buy an item from the Souvenir Shack
Tabby: Complete a job at the Employment Office
Amanda: Make a wish at the Wish Factory
Fred: Look at the Stadium Schedule
PJ: Buy an item at the Kinzstyle Outlet

When you complete any one of the tasks, the respective host will send you a friend request. You can choose to deny the request if you want.

There is a new Treasure Hunt at the Webkinz Newz.
The goal of the Treasure Hunts is to search for clues, and when you find all 6, you'll win a free virtual Webkinz Figure! You get everything you'd receive with a figure code: a virtual figure, the special item it comes with, and, if it's your first figure, a display case for it and access to Woodland Wonders, a location in the Magical Forest that is only unlocked with a figure. The more figures you have on your account, the better prizes you can win from Woodland Wonders!

The figures are pretty tiny, though--this is how they look in a zoomed-in room.

Previously, the figure to be won was the Breaking News Cocker Spaniel Figure. Its Figure Specific Item is the Webkinz Newspaper Box.
Currently, the figure to be won is the Dear Diary Leopard. Its Figure Specific Item is the Secret Dreams Diary.

Just for fun, you can give your figures names. I named my Cocker Spaniel figure Skip, and my Leopard figure will be named Leslie.

Here's the link to the Treasure Hunt, if you want to participate. Better hurry! The hunt for the Breaking News Cocker Spaniel figure ends June 30, and the hunt for the Dear Diary Leopard figure ends on July 15.

There are new clothing items at PJ Collie's Store!
And just in time for Summer!

A new activity has been added to the Webkinz Newz.
It's called the "Pick N' Win." Each day, there will be a poll, a quiz, and a survey. By completing any of these, you'll win a random amount of Kinz Cash between 10-500! You can also view the results for the survey and the poll, so you can see what other Webkinz World players think!

And...The plush image for the Halloween 2011 Pet has been released at Webkinz Newz!

This little sweetie will be at Webkinz retailers in August. Why not October, you may wonder? Because seasonal pets are released 2 months before the holiday.

The Pumpkin Puppy is the seasonal Webkinz for Halloween 2011. Hmm...We've had a Clover Puppy and then a St. Patrick's Day Setter, a Love Puppy and then a Love Spaniel, and now a Pumpkin Puppy...perhaps next year we'll have a Halloween Hound? We'll have to wait and see!

Webkinz Signature Orange Tabby

Webkinz Newz has recently released the plush image for the Webkinz Signature Orange Tabby!

This divine feline will be available at Webkinz Retailers in August.

My first thought upon seeing this Webkinz is that Webkinz World is going to have a sudden increase in the amount of pets named Garfield in August.
My second thought was, "holy cow, it's a Signature Cheeky Cat!"
What do you think?

Webkinz Splash Dragon!

The plush image for the new Webkinz Splash Dragon has been released on Webkinz Newz!

The Splash Dragon will be swimming to stores in August.

I think that this pet is simply fantastic. What do you think?

Webkinz Peace Unicorn!

Ganz has recently released the plush image for the Webkinz Peace Unicorn!

This peaceful pony will be trotting into Webkinz retailers in August.

So far, this pet has been receiving positive responses from members of Webkinz Newz.
I think that this is a very pretty pet, but that I'll have to wait for the virtual image to be released before I can make up my mind. What do you think of this pet?

Also, be sure to visit Webkinz Newz today for a special Father's Day Click-To-Win contest! Today only, keep a lookout for a floating Fred Rover Blazer.

This is what you are searching for.

When you find the blazer, click on it, and complete the required form. Then, a Fred Rover Blazer will be added to your Webkinz World account! One blazer per account. Trading card collectors may recognize this blazer as a randomly awarded prize that you can receive from Series 4 Trading Card packs.

Webkinz Lynx!

Recently, Ganz released the plush image for the Webkinz Lynx! This pet is scheduled for release in August of this year.

I think the tufts of fur on its ears are simply darling. What do you think?
