Summer Sensation is Today!

Log into your WW account today to receive your Summer Sensation prize!

You can get it today and today only (unless it, for some reason, appears in a Challenge later on).

The prize is the Turtle-pool shown in the card above, but most accounts (including mine) are not getting the prize. They'll probably show up by next week, or you can call Ganz.

Do not forget to spin the Super Wheel!

Available from 6 AM KT to 12 AM KT, the Super Wheel contains the following items:

• 750 KC
• Red Ming Lantern (eStore item)
• Ancient Aztec Stone Statue (recently added Exclusive item)
• Neo Gothic Fireplace (current Rare item)
• 500 KC
• Thinking Chair (retired Rare item)
• Mega Stove (incredibly expensive W-Shop item)
• Clown Car (Exclusive item)

I got 750 KC. :p
Demo accounts still cannot access the Super Wheel! This is not a glitch, merely a limitation.

New Stops Added to Webkinz Road Trip

Good news for those living in or near Kentucky, Wyoming, or Utah--the Webkinz Road Trip is planning to stop by!
Kentucky will see the van in Greyson on June 19 at 11 AM-1 PM. Utah can find the van at Midvale on July 9 and Ogden on July 10 (at 1-3 PM and 12-2 PM, respectively). Wyoming should prepare for July 12 at Casper!

Ganz Reveals June 2012 List of Pets

Ganz has announced the plush Webkinz pets for June 2012, along with the July POTM.

June is going to be a rather meager month, with 2 Webkinz and 1 signature being released. And here they are...

The Summer Beaver, which is basically a pink, bipedal beaver with orange dots.

Can I make a small complaint for a second? They really need to learn how to adjust their camera settings. It just makes the Beaver look neon./endcomplaint
Moving on to our second pet, which is the Cocoa Lab.

Do not get this confused with the Chocolate Lab! The Chocolate Lab was released in 2009, is retired, has its Magic W on its back right paw, and looks like this:

That's my Lab, BTW. Her name's Ella.

The Signature for June is the Ragdoll Cat!

Simply gawgeous, dahling.

And July's POTM is the Puckerfish. what

Also, the Yellow Fluffy Cub and Tyrannosaurus, two new virtual pets, have been officially revealed on Webkinz Newz. (and it turns out that I was right, the T-Rex's PSI is named Amber Armchair)

The T-rex comes with an Amber Armchair PSI, and Gigantic Jawbreaker PSF.

The Yellow Fluffy Cub comes with a Totally Fun Toy Box PSI and Honeycomb Porridge PSF.

Ganz to Introduce "Webkinz Rockerz" in June 2012

Webkinz Newz has just announced a new series of Webkinz pets, though these are far from the usual array.

Coming to Webkinz World in June 2012 is the Webkinz Rockerz series. Shown in this picture, according to Webkinz Insider, is the Punk Princess Cat. You can find the rest of the four-pet ensemble here.
What makes these pets so special is that they come with, besides their PSI, PSF, and exclusive item all pets get, an exclusive Pet Specific Outfit, and two passes that can be exchanged for items of the Rockerz-only theme!
I'm kind of excited for this. This isn't the only time there have been pets offered with more than a PSI and PSF--there's Signatures, Webkinz Foundation, and Caring Valley pets. How cool! Will these be the only pets released in June 2012, or are there even more?

All Day Activities End Today, September 6

Today, September 6, marks the end of all-day activities.
During the Summer, daily activities in Webkinz World begin at 9 AM KinzTime and end at 11 PM Kinz Time.
Today, the schedule returns to the regular times, with activities beginning at 4 PM KinzTime.

Wednesday Updates: July 6 2011

To start, the first half of a brand-new theme has been added to the W-Shop!

It's the CampKinz theme! Cue lots of cheering from me, who has been waiting forever for a theme like this.

So far, the theme, which is outdoors or treetop only, consists of:
CampKinz Archery Range--325 KC. Decoration only
CampKinz BBQ Grill--630 KC. Can be used to cook food for your pet.
CampKinz Dead End Trail--125 KC.
CampKinz Fishing Chair--640 KC. Your pet can sit on this item.
CampKinz Marshmallow Pit--550 KC. Animated item. (Actually "anmiated", due to a typo.)
CampKinz Nature Trail--150 KC.
CampKinz Picnic Bench--280 KC. Your pet can sit on this item.
CampKinz Picnic Table--600 KC. Decoration only.
CampKinz Curvy Trail--150 KC.

A new treasure hunt has been added.
The prize is a virtual Koala Archaeologist figurine. The contest begins today and will end August 2, 2011.
The only downside is that the hunt has been removed for repairs, after players who made it to clue #3 were just being sent back to clue #1.
There's still time to complete the Treasure Hunt for the Dear Diary Leopard Figurine, however! Hurry, because this hunt ends July 15.

The Wheel of WOW has been Smurfified!

You may have noticed the floating Smurfs that have been flying around Webkinz World for a while. Well, now the Wheel of WOW has been updated to match.

Contests!
 1. Rooster Contest--Running from July 1 to July 31. Submit a list of your top 10 favorite activities to do at camp, and you could be randomly selected to win 1 of 5 codes for a Virtual Rooster. The Rooster is the POTM for August. Here are the Rules. (though why it says the prize is either a Winged Tee or, more rarely, a Zilma Sweet Zum, is beyond me...)

2. My Great Webkinz Collection Contest: Starts July 6, ends July 13. From the Webkinz Newz....Show off your Webkinz collection in a creative way and you could win a virtual code for the Webkinz pet of your choice (the Prize)! 4th of July Clicky-Floaty Event at Webkinz Newz!

Visit the Webkinz Newz today for a really neat Floaty-Clicky event for Independence Day! Just look around for a floating Baseball Helmet, that looks exactly like the one in the picture below. Click on it, fill in the required form, and you will receive the whole Baseball Uniform (everything in the picture below) and a KinzStyle Shop bag. You may only win once per account.

This is the prize! A KinzStyle Shop Baseball Helmet, Pants, and Jersey!

There is a crucial difference between the KinzStyle Outlet and the KinzStyle Shop.

OUTLET

PJ Collie. A very talkative host.

• Hosted by PJ Collie
• Found on the Map to Kinzville, next to the W-Shop
• Can be visited whenever
• No codes required
• None of her clothes can be found in real life for plush pets (unless you make them yourself)
• The clothes are always the same (exceptions for Halloween/Christmas clothing)
• Unique features of the Outlet: T-Shirt Designer and Clothing Machine

SHOP

Persephone. The fashionable host for the KinzStyle Shop and SuperModelz.

• Hosted by Persephone
• Can only be visited if you have a KinzStyle shopping bag
• Can be visited whenever...if you have a shopping bag, and can't be visited again once you buy something.
• A code for any plush clothing is required to get the shopping bag.
• The clothes are always the same, but aren't all in stock at the same time. Log out and visit again if you want the stock to change.
• Unique features of the Shop: When you enter the code for any article of plush clothing, you will receive a virtual copy of that clothing for free in Webkinz World, along with the KinzStyle bag so you can buy something else.

Also, visit the Kinzville Academy today, because it's yet another Super School Day! They've been having a lot of those recently

Webkinz Lynx and Webkinz Peace Unicorn PSI and PSF revealed

The Lynx comes with a Relaxing Rocky Sauna and Rocky Rib Rack.

The Peace Unicorn comes with the Harmony Hammock and some Peaceful Pancakes.

The Virtual Image for the Lynx isn't exactly what I was expecting. It looks more like an old and wise Webkinz, rather than the adventurous and outgoing Webkinz I had expected.
This pet gets 8 out of 10 stars.

Here's the Mystic Pony for comparison.

As for the Peace Unicorn...I'm bothered by how much it looks like the Mystic Pony, but this is also a good thing--they could be twins!
This pet gets 8 out of 10 stars, too.

Lots of new features in Webkinz World!

Lots of new things have been added in today's update!
Firstly, we have 2 new party packs in the W-Shop: the Beach Party and the Summer Party.

To celebrate Friendship Month, you can now add Webkinz Hosts as friends.
Don't send the requests from your phone: they'll request you! You must complete a specific task for each host, however:
Arte Fact: Look for gems in the Gem Hunt.
Ms. Cowoline: Complete 3 classes at the Kinzville Academy.
Debbie: Buy a ticket at the Travel Agency.
Sheldon: Buy an item from the Souvenir Shack
Tabby: Complete a job at the Employment Office
Amanda: Make a wish at the Wish Factory
Fred: Look at the Stadium Schedule
PJ: Buy an item at the Kinzstyle Outlet

When you complete any one of the tasks, the respective host will send you a friend request. You can choose to deny the request if you want.

There is a new Treasure Hunt at the Webkinz Newz.
The goal of the Treasure Hunts is to search for clues, and when you find all 6, you'll win a free virtual Webkinz Figure! You get everything you'd receive with a figure code: a virtual figure, the special item it comes with, and, if it's your first figure, a display case for it and access to Woodland Wonders, a location in the Magical Forest that is only unlocked with a figure. The more figures you have on your account, the better prizes you can win from Woodland Wonders!

The figures are pretty tiny, though--this is how they look in a zoomed-in room.

Previously, the figure to be won was the Breaking News Cocker Spaniel Figure. Its Figure Specific Item is the Webkinz Newspaper Box.
Currently, the figure to be won is the Dear Diary Leopard. Its Figure Specific Item is the Secret Dreams Diary.

Just for fun, you can give your figures names. I named my Cocker Spaniel figure Skip, and my Leopard figure will be named Leslie.

Here's the link to the Treasure Hunt, if you want to participate. Better hurry! The hunt for the Breaking News Cocker Spaniel figure ends June 30, and the hunt for the Dear Diary Leopard figure ends on July 15.

There are new clothing items at PJ Collie's Store!
And just in time for Summer!

A new activity has been added to the Webkinz Newz.
It's called the "Pick N' Win." Each day, there will be a poll, a quiz, and a survey. By completing any of these, you'll win a random amount of Kinz Cash between 10-500! You can also view the results for the survey and the poll, so you can see what other Webkinz World players think!

And...The plush image for the Halloween 2011 Pet has been released at Webkinz Newz!

This little sweetie will be at Webkinz retailers in August. Why not October, you may wonder? Because seasonal pets are released 2 months before the holiday.

The Pumpkin Puppy is the seasonal Webkinz for Halloween 2011. Hmm...We've had a Clover Puppy and then a St. Patrick's Day Setter, a Love Puppy and then a Love Spaniel, and now a Pumpkin Puppy...perhaps next year we'll have a Halloween Hound? We'll have to wait and see!

Summertime Events in Webkinz World!

The Summer Solstice will be here tomorrow on the 21st. The Solstice marks the longest day of the year--it's also when Summertime officially begins!

Here are the events for June in Webkinz World.

June 21: A Click-To-Win event at Webkinz Newz. Be on the lookout for an Orange Table, which is part of the Farm theme found in the Curio Shop. When the Table floats by, click on it and fill out the form, and you will be given an Orange Table and a Pineapple Lamp for your Webkinz World account!

June 21: Is also another Super School Day at the Kinzville Academy! Just go to the Academy and go through your classes as usual, only on Super School Day, all classes will count double!

June 28: Be certain to log into Webkinz World today for the Summer Sensation! The Summer Sensation is an event that has been celebrated in Webkinz World since 2007. Today, you will receive an exclusive Summer Sensation Prize when you log in, and you get to spin the Super Wheel!
The Super Wheel is a very anticipated event in Webkinz World. To date, it can only be spun on the following days:
Webkinz Day (April 29)
Valentine's Day (February 14)
Summer Sensation (June 28)
Veterans Day (November 11)
Christmas Day (December 25) (since 2008)
Halloween (October 31) (since 2009)
The Super Wheel normally contains a rare item, 2 Exclusive items, a retired rare item, a very expensive piece of W-shop furniture or a seasonal W-shop furniture piece (for instance, on Christmas 2010 you could win a Winter Window), and, since Halloween 2010, even an eStore item. There's even a Bear Tapestry, a very rare item indeed since it only shows up on the Super Wheel and doesn't every time. The Super Wheel has always contained 500 Kinz Cash and 750 Kinz Cash, since its addition to Webkinz World in 2006.

June 30: Daily activities switch to the Summer schedule, starting at 9AM Kinz Time, and ending at 11 PM Kinz Time.

Webkinz Peace Unicorn!

Ganz has recently released the plush image for the Webkinz Peace Unicorn!

This peaceful pony will be trotting into Webkinz retailers in August.

So far, this pet has been receiving positive responses from members of Webkinz Newz.
I think that this is a very pretty pet, but that I'll have to wait for the virtual image to be released before I can make up my mind. What do you think of this pet?

Also, be sure to visit Webkinz Newz today for a special Father's Day Click-To-Win contest! Today only, keep a lookout for a floating Fred Rover Blazer.

This is what you are searching for.

When you find the blazer, click on it, and complete the required form. Then, a Fred Rover Blazer will be added to your Webkinz World account! One blazer per account. Trading card collectors may recognize this blazer as a randomly awarded prize that you can receive from Series 4 Trading Card packs.

Webkinz Lynx!

Recently, Ganz released the plush image for the Webkinz Lynx! This pet is scheduled for release in August of this year.

I think the tufts of fur on its ears are simply darling. What do you think?

Webkinz Sun Bear and Webkinz Petal Puppy PSI and PSF revealed

Earlier this week, Kei and I were discussing what the PSIs for the July 2011 pets would be.
Here is what we guessed:
Petal Puppy--a flowerbed
Sun Bear--a lounging chair
Mohawk Monkey--some sort of motorcycle, or a couch with a mohawk on it
Signature Bactrian Camel--a pyramid.

So far, we've guessed correctly for 2 of the 4 pets...Here are their PSIs and PSFs. What do you think the PSIs for the other two pets are?

The Petal Puppy with its PSI, the Fragrant Flower Bed, and its PSF, Garden Fresh Veggies.

The Sun Bear with its PSI, the Poolside Sunning Chair, and PSF, the Runny Honey Sundae.

All Day, Every Day Daily Activities Begin in Webkinz World

Happy Victoria Day to our Canadian readers!
Victoria Day is sometimes considered the beginning of Summer in Canada, which means the start of Summer in Webkinz World, too, even though observant players have noticed that the outdoor scenery changed from Spring to Summer many a week ago.

So, since Summer has begun in WW, this means that Daily Activities begin every weekend and weekday in Webkinz World at 9 AM KT, and end at 10 PM KT. What fun!

Also, today is a Super School Day at the Kinzville Academy. This means that all successful classes are considered to be 2 classes!
