Webkinz World Runs Promotion for The Lorax

Webkinz Newz has announced that, starting on Feb. 16, a promotion for the new movie, The Lorax, will run through Webkinz World. Features of this promotion include:

• A Lorax-themed twist on the Arcade game, Where's Wacky
• A Lorax Click-To-Win event in Webkinz World from Feb. 18 to March 3, 2012, with exclusive prizes to be won
• Gift boxes awarded upon logging in on Feb. 29, March 1, and March 2
• The Adventure Park will be once again opened to Webkinz World Members, regardless of if they own an Adventure Park pet or not, for a special quest that is available from Feb. 16 until March 4. The only requirement is that your account has third-party content enabled. Otherwise, seeing as how this is a third-party promotion, your account will ignore the quest.

 The Christmas Theme has been released at the W-Shop.

Oh my. I must say that this year's Christmas theme is amazing! At longest last, we have been provided with play houses for Webkinz to play in...and at a very modest price, too!

This year's theme is called the Christmas Carol theme. It only goes outdoors or in treetop rooms, but the design uses these limits for a good purpose.

Also, a great piece of news for Webkinz players still on the Teacher's Pet challenge: The challenge "send your pet to recess", which can take a maximum of 15 days to do, has been changed to "feed your pet 10 apples". Huzzah! 

Of course, log in today to find your Thanksgiving Gift Basket and an Arthur Christmas gift!

 If it is November 24 in your account's time zone, you'll get this gift no matter when Thanksgiving is observed in your area. The Thanksgiving gift contains two food items: Chocolate Pecan Pie and Thanksgiving Dinner, and a furniture piece: Cornucopia Chair. The Arthur Christmas gift contains a letter to Santakinz (decoration), a chattering teeth toy (decoration) and a Candy Cane (food).

There are no clothing items in this year's basket, but don't distress! Webkinz Newz is holding a click-to-win for a Turkey hat on November 24, 25, 27, and 28. 

Kinectimals Prize Fixed!

The tech team at Ganz has fixed the Kinectimals log-in prize, huzzah! Players logging in today should find a shiny new green ATV to ride around on. Check after the break to see it in action!

Kinectimals Promotion in Webkinz World!

Kinectimals are being promoted in Webkinz World through a Video Challenge.
At Webkinz Newz, search for a Kinectimals advertisement. Click on it when you find it, and then answer the questions in the video to win a Kinectimals prize. 
The prizes include Pet Buddies, which actually follow your pet around just like Zumbuddies, animal plushies, and posters and paintings.
This promotion is open to players in the USA only.

Arthur Christmas Gift Boxes Arrive in North American Accounts

Webkinz World players in North America who log onto their accounts today will be pleasantly surprised to find an Arthur Christmas Gift Box waiting for them in their dock. This gift box is labeled "Arthur Christmas Gift Box 1"...does this mean that another one is on the way? We will have to wait and see.

The gift box contains (highlight the red box to find out) a Candy Cane (food), Knitted Sweater (clothes) and Elf Training Kit (decoration).

Fijit Friends Gift

This is a clothing piece, called the Friendship Headband.

Players logging into their WW accounts today will find a gift waiting for them in their docks. This is part of the Fijit Friends promotion. Fijit Friends are a new slightly disconcerting robot toy being made by Mattel.

And the Candy Kinz pet for September (despite not really being a candy) is the Waffles Wallaby! 

This pet comes with a Peppermint Swirl Slide PSI, and Super Sweet Tarts PSF.

 For today only, Deluxe members can purchase this pet for 10,000 eStore points. After that, the pet will be for sale at the usual price of 12,500 points. 

Webkinz World is currently promoting Jessie.

The show, starring Jessie, a girl who moves to New York City seeking independence and instead ends up being the nanny for 4 kids and a 7 foot long pet lizard, temporarily has its own game in the Arcade and its own room in the Clubhouse.

The game, called "Jessie's Mix Up", will replace Where's Wacky for the rest of September.
Update: After playing through a few times, it appears that this game can only be played up to level 6. It works exactly like Where's Wacky, only with Mr. Kipling (the lizard) instead of Wacky, and the cast of the show instead of the familiar faces of Webkinz World folk. 

The Clubhouse Room looks like this:

Throughout the month of September, all Webkinz World players can go to the Jessie clubhouse room and get a treat by clicking on the fridge. And, all Webkinz players living in the United States (due to copyrights) can watch a trailer for Jessie by clicking on the movie screen on the wall. At the end of the trailer, answer three questions to get a special Jessie themed prize! Just like the Judy Moody promotion.

The October 2011 POTM is the Webkinz Black Cat. 
This is the first time in Webkinz history that a Seasonal pet has been made the Pet of the Month!

There will be a new Curio Shop Only theme soon!

Coming soon to the Curio Shop, the Neo-Gothic theme is a beautiful bold black and pink colored arrangement of intricately illustrated interior design. 

There is a new Click-To-Win event at Webkinz Newz! 

On August 31 and September 1st and 2nd, go to Webkinz Newz and catch the floating Tour Van to win a Spree Dirt Road tile. One prize per account per day.

On September 4, catch the same van for a Red Road Trip Hat. On September 5, the prize is a Red Road Trip Tee Shirt. One prize per account per day. These are the last Road Trip prizes for the year, so catch them while you can!

I think that this pet is cute, but I wouldn't get one if I saw it in real life. What do you think?

Judy Moody and the Not So Bummer Summer

Alvin and the Chipmunks, Bee Movie, Snow White on Disney Blu-Ray DVD, Hoodwinked 2, HOP, and Looney Tunes have all been advertised by Ganz. I'm in no way complaining about this--the movies promoted are barely PG at the highest, and the prizes for the promotions are unique and neat.
Fans of Judy Moody and her friends will be excited for the next thing Ganz is promoting: Judy Moody and the Not So Bummer Summer. This is a movie, about Judy trying as hard as she can not to have an average summer. Ganz will be promoting this movie by redecorating one of the rooms in the Clubhouse, which goes along nicely with May being Makeover Month (according to Ganz). No other news is given.
What I, Carmen think of this: The Judy Moody books were among my favorites when I was younger, but I'm hoping that the room redecoration is only temporary.
