Tuxedo Cat PSI and PSF Revealed!/Winterfest 2012 Sneak Peek

The Tuxedo Cat will be released to stores in February 2012! It comes with a Trendy Tuxedo Armoire PSI and Triple Top Hat Cake PSF.

Winterfest is an annual event that works just like Fall Fest, only with flying snowflakes, winter-themed prizes, and a schedule in Winter. Winterfest will begin on January 7, 2012.
Webkinz Newz has provided us with a sneak-peek of one of the new prizes!

This new prize is a pair of Winterfest Pajama Pants! How useful, as Webkinz World has a short supply of good pajamas.

Daisy Pig PSI and PSF Revealed!

The Daisy Pig will be arriving in stores in February! It comes with a Daisy Flower Bed PSI, and a Through Toffee to snack on.

Ms. Birdy is Coming to the Clubhouse on the 14th

This is an event that has happened every December since 2008.

During this event, Ms. Birdy will visit the Clubhouse. Click on her and she will give you a gift exclusive to this event. You can only get one per day.

In previous years, she has been all over the place, but for this year, she will be in the Santakinz Room only.

Ms. Birdy will give 1 gift per account per day. She appears every day, from December 14 to December 26.

The only thing you get for collecting all 12 gifts is a badge for your My Page.

On a side note, a feature was added to your KinzChat phone that allows you to see what color zone your friends are in. Handy dandy!

Wednesday Updates 7/12/11

There is a new feature in Webkinz World: The Message Center.

Your dock will now look somewhat like this. You still have your money; I just edited mine out.

As part of today's updates, Ganz has moved the KinzPost Mailbox and KinzChat phone to beside the Actions window, and added a new feature, the Message Center.

The Message Center is required for the most recent Challenge, the Snow Day Challenge, which will stick around until January 4, 2012.

One of the requirements for this challenge is to ask your friends for 10 cups of Candy Cane Cocoa. (or buy them at 500 eStore points apiece.) And no, you cannot ask Webkinz World hosts to help you. It does not cost anyone anything to send/receive the Cocoa. With the Message Center, you will be alerted when a friend asks you for some Candy Cane Cocoa. The Message Center will also tell you when you have a new friend request.

Along with the Message Center is the Friend Finder. The Friend Finder will show you a list of Webkinz World players. The information displayed is their avatar, which is their current pet, a link to their My Page, the first 3 characters of their username, the first three characters of their pet's name, and the most recent day they've logged in, along with a button that, when clicked, sends a friend request to that person. You may only send 8 Friend Requests per day through the Friend Finder.

Below this list is a button that will add you to the Friend Finder list. You can add yourself, or just continue on. There are no little KinzCash bonuses or the like that will be awarded just for being on/using the Friend Finder list.

The Friend Finder is intended for use for Webkinz World players who don't have many active friends, or any friends at all, in their lists, and would like some help with Challenges, however anybody can use it.

I think the Message Center/Friend Finder are very useful. The Message Center isn't distracting, plus it makes KinzPost messages more visible, and the layout is quite nice. The Friend Finder is a very handy feature for those who need help with Challenges, yet don't want to go to the Clubhouse, or can't use KinzChat+, plus it gives no more information about you than what would be given anywhere else in Webkinz World.  I approve of these new features!

The Map of Kinzville is decked out for the holidays.

And in a very pretty fashion, too.

There's a Super School Day today, too.

Christmas items have been added to the KinzStyle Outlet.

These items are:

Santakinz Helper Hat 125 KC

Santakinz Helper Pants 210 KC

Santakinz Helper Shirt 250 KC

Santakinz Helper Shoes 150 KC

Santakinz Helperette Hat 125 KC

Santakinz Helperette Skirt 210 KC

Santakinz Helperette Shirt 250 KC

Santakinz Helperette Shoes 150 KC

Be sure to pick up these items before Christmas!

And now for some sneak-peeks of more Webkinz pets!

This is the Dreamy Sheep, which comes with a Daydreamer's Window and a Midnight Snack. Are those coffee beans? Apparently this pet is supposed to come to stores in Spring. I'd love to see the plush, I bet it's the fuzziest thing ever, but the PSI is rather...plain. I bet it shows a vibrantly colored scene when clicked on, though.

Now THAT is unique. This is the Sleepy Woodland Dragon, a virtual-only pet coming soon. Its PSI is a Cedar Toy Trunk, and its PSF is Crunchy Bark Bites. It's gonna look awesome in-game, just you wait.

And this is another virtual-only pet all cow lovers should enjoy, the Polka Dot Cow. It comes with Crunchy Ship Cookies (that's the worst pun on chocolate chip I've ever heard) and a Polka Dot Piano, which is quite a pretty piece! I like, I like.

Darling Dino and Holland Lop Bunny PSI and PSF Revealed!

The plush looked a little cute, but the sprite reminds me of a four-legged caterpillar of some sort, and the appearance that this pet is auditioning to be in one of the pageants in Toddlers and Tiaras do it no favors. And why are its front legs coming directly from its spine as if they were wings? 6/10

The Sparkling Sundae PSF looks as if it is made of foam, otherwise it appears to be fairly appealing. 9/10

I see no water in this "pond", but the foliage surrounding it makes for a pleasing display. 9/10

Overall opinion: 7/10 stars.

Everything about this pet is perfect! The simple design complements the well-blended colors, and the contented expression on this dear Bunny's face is actually soothing. There are so many names that would fit swimmingly with this pet--Butterscotch, Caramel, Maggie, and Patsy all come instantly to mind. 10/10!

The PSF of a Carrot Cream Cone has a very appealing appearance in both color and design. It's made perfectly for the sweet pet it was created for. 9/10

The PSI of a Homemade Carrot Juicer was made well. The carrots inside the juicer look a little off, but I would still love to see this invention in action. I wonder if it will give you some Homemade Carrot Juice to snack on? How cool if this is so! 10/10!

Overall opinion: 9/10

Oh, and BTW here's the Bubblegumasaurus PSI and PSF, which was probably never announced in November because:

A fortunate piece of news for those who didn't want to go through an online transaction for the Bubblegumasaurus, but nonetheless I am a little disappointed that the plush Bubblegumasaurus matches its eStore ascendant to the letter. Now why this is so is beyond me...

Lots of Exciting Updates in Webkinz World!

We at Let's Talk Webkinz hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The Christmas Theme has been released at the W-Shop.

Oh my. I must say that this year's Christmas theme is amazing! At longest last, we have been provided with play houses for Webkinz to play in...and at a very modest price, too!

This year's theme is called the Christmas Carol theme. It only goes outdoors or in treetop rooms, but the design uses these limits for a good purpose.

The windows of the houses light up when clicked on!

Ganz has changed the programming of the Adventure Park mini-quests:
You may now send a mini-quest to anybody on your friends list, if they have an Adventure Park pet or not!

There are also a few more challenges...
The Tidy Up, Shopping Spree, Lights...Camera...Action!, Keep Kinzville Clean, Picnic with Cowabelle, and Webkinz World Beauty Pageant challenges have been added!
Also, a great piece of news for Webkinz players still on the Teacher's Pet challenge: The challenge "send your pet to recess", which can take a maximum of 15 days to do, has been changed to "feed your pet 10 apples". Huzzah!

Of course, log in today to find your Thanksgiving Gift Basket and an Arthur Christmas gift!

If it is November 24 in your account's time zone, you'll get this gift no matter when Thanksgiving is observed in your area. The Thanksgiving gift contains two food items: Chocolate Pecan Pie and Thanksgiving Dinner, and a furniture piece: Cornucopia Chair. The Arthur Christmas gift contains a letter to Santakinz (decoration), a chattering teeth toy (decoration) and a Candy Cane (food).

There are no clothing items in this year's basket, but don't distress! Webkinz Newz is holding a click-to-win for a Turkey hat on November 24, 25, 27, and 28.

Reindeer's POTM Video: "My Favorite Time of Year" Released!

The Pet of the Month for December 2011 is the Webkinz Reindeer!

Watch the video at Webkinz Newz and answer the Video Challenge questions to win a Webkinz Hockey Helmet.

The Reindeer's music video is called "My Favorite Time of Year". Check it out at Webkinz Newz!

Poinsettia Lion PSI and PSF Revealed!

Ganz Y U NO post Bubblegumasaurus PSI and PSF

This new pet, the Poinsettia Lion, is the eStore pet for Christmas. We don't know when it will be for sale, but once we do, we'll update this post.

This festive friend comes with a Gingerbread Oven to bake with, and Festive Fruit Cake to eat!

Gelato Parrot PSI and PSF Revealed!

The CandyKinz Pet for December 2011 is the Gelato Parrot! It comes with a Sprawling Candy Plant Centerpiece PSI, and Tropical Fruit Frenzy PSF!

I hereby dub December as Crazy Awesome CandyKinz Month.

Signature Arctic Fox PSI and PSF Revealed!

This new pet comes with a Daring Den Slide and some Frozen Fish and Chips.

What's unfortunate about this little fox is that retailers may only get 2 per store. This has happened in the past with the Hippie Hippo in March, Razzle Dazzle Dog in June, Dodo in September, and, for December, the Patchy Puppy, but this is the first (and hopefully last) time it's happened to a Signature pet.
Also, according to its description on Webkinz Newz, this pet has a "steely blue gaze"...its eyes are clearly brown.
*facepalm*

Thanksgiving Treasure Hunt

Webkinz Newz has just posted a new Treasure Hunt! This is the Thanksgiving Treasure Hunt, and the prize is a Chow Down Duck Figure. The Treasure Hunt runs from November 6 to December 5, 2011.

Sifaka Lemur PSI and PSF Revealed!

Ganz at the last minute decided to change their mind about the Darling Dino, which will be released soon, but not in December. Instead, they're releasing the Sifaka Lemur, which looks like this:

Replacing the Darling Dino as a December 2011plush release, this pet comes with Tall Tree Hideaway and Forest Fruit Salad.

Arctic Polar Bear PSI and PSF Revealed!

This frosty new friend comes with a Peek-A-Boo Pond for playing hide-and-seek, and some Polarberry Punch to drink!

The virtual image isn't quite what I expected, but still, pretty neat! Cool PSI, as well.

Sterling Cheeky Cat PSI and PSF Revealed!

This fine feline comes with a Fun To Run Yarn Ball to get some exercise, and a Tuna Melt Medley for dinner.

It has the original stringy fur. I am loving this cat so much right now.

Patchy Puppy PSI and PSF Revealed!

This pet comes with a Backyard Bubble Maker to play with and a Twisted Fruit Slushy for a treat.

Kind of cute, and a little less whimsy, but if the ears are stuck straight up like a bunny, count me out.

Webkinz Patchy Puppy

...um...

Ganz has just released the plush image of another December 2011 pet: the Patchy Puppy.

So that brings the total of December 2011 releases to...5 Webkinz and a Signature, when the average amount of new releases per month this year has been 3 and a Signature. Maybe the sudden increase in releases is because of the holiday season? Hm.

Looks cute...um...I guess...honestly, the way the colors were captured in the picture are not doing this pup any justice, they're much too bright. Whimsy overload, 2/5 stars.

Signature Arctic Fox

Gorgeous.

And the Signature pet for December 2011 is the Signature Arctic Fox!
On a side note, this is the 100th post on this blog, which has reached 2,000+ page views!

Sterling Cheeky Cat

Webkinz Newz has just posted the plush image of another December 2011 pet, the Sterling Cheeky Cat.

Look closely...I think it has the original stringy fur. :D

You may remember this pet showing up in the September 2010 POTM video, "Nine Lives", and again if you look carefully in the Webkinz World TV advertisement.
