February and March 2013 Webkinz Pets

For February, we have...
 The Brown Boston Terrier, Longhorn Steer, Signature Arctic Hare, and the 2013 Valentine's Day pet: the Candy Heart Pup! In addition, the Springbok is February's Pet of the Month. Not the South African Springbok, which is an eStore only pet--just the Springbok. The difference is pointed out in the picture below.
 

For March, we have...
 The Hyena, Rainbow Pegasus, Peace N' Love Puppy, the Signature Miniature Dachshund, and the Rockerz Fox! March's Pet of the Month is the Bull Terrier.

October 2012 Webkinz PSI and PSF Revealed

Firstly is the Black Wolf, who comes with the tasty PSF of Beef and Black Bean Stew, and the regal PSI of a...Komrade Couch. Makes sense--the Black Wolf is, for reasons that I really must learn, generally associated with Russia--but it looks almost identical to the Batikka Loveseat, the PSI for the Batik Elephant. Observe!

I suppose they might have done this on purpose to make the two PSI match when placed in a room?

The Spotted Spaniel comes with a Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwich PSF, and a Spotted Sports Car PSI.
I am not joking; that is honestly its PSF. It could be for anybody--it has no personalization at all! They could have at least given it a spotted plate, or put the pup's picture on the glass!

...not much better, but you get the gist.

PSF aside, I don't deny that it is still a very cute pet, even if its ears look very stiff.

The Grape Soda Pup (is so fluffy!) comes with a fun Soda Can Fridge PSI, and tasty Grape Soda Cap Gummies to snack on!

Finally, we see the Meerkat, one of three non-canine plushies released for October. I love its design! It comes with a Desert Tree Sunning Station PSI, and delicious Kalahari Quiche.

October 2012 Pets Announced!

Good news for dog lovers, because this October adds 7 colorful canines to the list! (Fun Fact: this means there are 133 different Webkinz dogs! This includes Signatures and Wolves, but not Lil'Kinz...think you can name them all?)

Our first pet is the Meerkat! We actually already know how this little guy looks online, due to his image being leaked in Webkinz World's newspaper before the plush was even announced:

The second is the Grape Soda Pup, which cute and looks very cuddly, but is essentially a purple Cream Soda Pup (August 2010 release).

The third is the Spotted Spaniel, which is pretty darn cute!

The fourth is an addition to the Wolves: the Black Wolf!

October's Signature pet is the Signature African Wild Dog! Just look at those ears!

Still holding out hope for a Holiday Cat, though.

Also to be released in October is the Holiday pet for 2012: The Snowflake Pup!


And if you think that's a lot of dogs: wait, there's more! We'll also be seeing the Fall 2012 Rockerz Pets in October!

Get down with the funky Rockerz Poodle, which represents the days of disco! Note the disco ball on its tail--clever!

Next up is the Rockerz Bunny, which represents hip-hop! Get it, because...it's a bunny, and...bunnies hop...yeah. And yes. It actually comes with a dollar sign necklace.

The words on it say "Island Rhythm".

Or perhaps you'd rather have a Rockerz Dog, who represents reggae?

Or a Rockerz Horse, who represents country and has a very pretty design?

August 2012 Pets Revealed on WKN

The first pet announced is the cutest monkey around, the Golden Lion Tamarin!

What lovely colors it sports.

Next up is the next addition to the collection of mythical and fantasy horses, the Sapphire Pegasus!

Its wings are a little too close to its head, though, but it is a very pretty Pegasus!

The third pet is the Texting Puppy. Yes. There is officially the personification of texting, and it is in the form of a small dog.

...that's just a lil' bit nutty. Wonder how they're going to fit so much text onto its virtual form?

Back to the simpler things with the Signature West Highland Terrier.

We have 2 new Rockerz pets to add as well!

 We start with the Rockerz Monkey, which you can see by its mark is a "Punky Monkey".
Much better in the ways of a pet using text as a pattern; much less going on. Love how the tail's a completely different fabric, too.
Do not confuse with last year's Mohawk Monkey! Yes, they both are primates with funky hair, but the Mohawk monkey is beige and has fluff around its ankles, is not in the Rockerz line, has pink in its hair, and is not quadrupedal.

Next is the Rockerz Papillon (Pop Star Papillon, you can know it as)

That funny-lookin' mitt around its paw is actually some sort of bracelet. (Fashionable Asymmetry, I guess?)
I would so give that headband to a Razzle Dazzle Dog, just to see how it looks.

Rest of July 2012 Webkinz PSI and PSF Revealed

We'll start with the Sunset Giraffe, a cute new pal with a mosaic of colors--and that's no tall tale! okay sorry that was terrible

It comes with a Tallest Toy Box PSI, and a Twiggy Pudding PSF.

For a walk on the wild side, we have the Coyote!

After a day of exploring, it walks across its Canyon Crosswalk PSI back home for a Prairie Omelet dinner.

And on this side of the ring, we have the Boxer!

After getting in its daily training in its Boxing Ring Trampoline, the Boxer looks forward to Champion Treats!

The Signature pet for July is the Hippopotamus!

In its spare time, the Signature Hippopotamus likes to ride around on its Muddy River Raft Ride, snacking on Short Grass Samosas.

A new addition to the Rockerz line! An eStore pet available now for 15,000 points (15 US$), the Rockerz Puppy is...oddly reminiscent of Justin Beiber. Honestly, look at the hair, the purple, and the clothing it comes with.

PSI and PSF for FrooFroo Fox and Alpaca

The Alpaca and FrooFroo Fox, both Webkinz pets for release in July 2012, have been revealed in virtual form at WKN.

The Alpaca comes with a Fully Woolly Recliner PSI, Wheatgrass Smoothie PSF, and a wild mop of hair.

The FrooFroo Fox comes with an Elegant Settee PSI, Crayfish Cocktail PSF, and the maintained appearance of a dog rather than a fox.

Ganz Reveals Webkinz Boxer; Mega Modern Room Theme

July 2012 is going to be a Webkinz-filled month--this is the 5th pet revealed, and we're not at the Signature yet! The pet shown is the Webkinz Boxer, a happy little guy.

"Mega Modern" it may be called, but I'm detecting more of a sci-fi appearance. Also, note the full, built-in window that's just begging to be ruined by an improperly placed door usually found in eStore walls.

We also have a new W-Shop theme coming up, the first half of which will be released in tomorrow's Wednesday update.
It is called the Mega Modern Room Theme, and the first half consists of the following:
Cryonic Comfort Bed
Stasis Sofa
Omni Glass Coffee Table
Luminorb Floor Lamp
Synthopane Floor Vase
That's a mouthful!
Also, in an unspecified fashion, you can win the following items from WKN:

Glowing Coffee Table, Glowing Vase, and Glowing Lamp. Basically the table, lamp, and flower found in the theme, only glowing and bluer. Placing a Glowing Vase and a Floor Vase on either side of a piece of furniture would work nicely, though.

WKN Reveals Webkinz Coyote and Sunset Giraffe!

Two more pets for July 2012, the Sunset Giraffe and Coyote, have been revealed on Webkinz Newz.

The confident and courageous Coyote is first up...

...followed by the silly and sweet Sunset Giraffe! A welcome addition to the Webkinz Giraffe Family.

Three July 2012 Webkinz Pet Plushes Revealed at Webkinz Newz

We'll start with the Tropical Island Pup. If this pet looks awfully familiar, it's with good reason--it was released in October 2011 as a Cracker Barrel Exclusive. As of July of this year, though, it can be found in all Webkinz retailers!

As such, we already know its PSI (Beachside Gazebo) and PSF (Fresh Flower Cocktail).

This here is the Alpaca, which is among the cutest Webkinz of 2012 so far in my book.

And this is the FrooFroo Fox (yes, all two words) which resembles a dog or maybe even a cat rather than a fox.

PSI and PSF for Webkinz Rockerz, Signature Ragdoll Cat, and Purple Floral Fawn Revealed at WKN

We'll start with the much-anticipated Webkinz Rockerz!
They originally had much longer names (Peace, Love, and Moosic Cow; Bad to the Bone Bulldog; Punk Rock Princess Cat; and I keep forgetting the Lion's name), but it appears that they've been shortened to simply Rockerz (whatever animal they are).

The Lion comes with Shock Rock Stage Flames for a PSI, and Heavy Metal Meatballs to eat.
And so, now that the Webkinz had harnessed the power of fire, they went on to create the world's coolest barbeques.

The Rockerz Cat comes with a Dressing Room Vanity PSI, and Funky Fish Sticks PSF. That is among their more creative PSFs! Wonder if the keyboard it's on still works.

The Rockerz Bulldog comes with a Rockin' Drum Set PSI, and a Mosh Pitatoes PSF. Tee hee, puns

Finally, the Rockerz Cow comes with a Groovy Solo Stage PSI, and a Flower Powdered Sugar Cookies PSF. Huzzah, we finally have more microphones! And a really cool one, too.

The Signature Ragdoll Cat, June's Signature pet, comes with a Designer Catwalk PSI, and a Seared Scallops PSF.

The Purple Floral Fawn is a new, virtual Webkinz pet. It comes with a Cozy Log Hideaway PSI, and Apple Blossom Tarts PSF.

Not to be confused with the Purple Floral Fox, which I am to assume is the older relative of this newcomer.
The main difference between these two appearance-wise is that the Fox has a bunch of flowers on its back.

WKN Reveals PSI and PSF for Summer Beaver and Cocoa Lab!

Both of these plush pets will be released in June 2012.

The Summer Beaver comes with a Warm River Spa PSI, and a Cedar Sundae PSF.
...making it the 35th Webkinz (that I've found) to come with some sort of spa, tub, or pond. Webkinz: you cannot escape the cleanliness! That's one tasty-looking PSF, too.

The Cocoa Lab come with Frozen Treat Fridge PSI, and Caramel Ice Pop PSF.

Sounds delightful! Or maybe it's just frozen caramel? Either way, the Cocoa Lab still looks way too similar to the Chocolate Lab for my liking.

Though I do not deny that its PSI is quite appealing.

And if you look closely: the water in the Summer Beaver's Item and Food is reflective, and the Cocoa Lab's PSI's umbrella is transparent. I really like when they throw in extra details like that; it adds a nice touch of realism to the Webkinz World.
