Webkinz Road Trip--Questions and Answers

Wondering what to expect at the Webkinz Road Trip? We have a few answers! I was able to catch the van during their stop in Jasper, AL yesterday. Here is what it was like:

• They were giving out Pet Carriers (three per person, one of each variety--Funky Flower Pink, Funky Flower Purple, and Pink Leopard), Clothing (Stripy Toque, Camo Tank Top, and Camo Cargo Pant), Figurines (Tee Time Raccoon, Lifeguard Googles, Ballerina Husky, Three Cheers Tiger, Rollerskate Pig, Painting Hippo), Nakamas Friendship Bracelets (these do NOT have codes and they are NOT for Webkinz World; they are for another product of Ganz's, Nakamas), and Magnetic Bookmarks.
• I have heard that they will pretty much give you merchandise simply for existing, and they were not exaggerating. Within the twenty minutes it had taken me to run through the event, I had ended up with ten Nakamas bracelets, enough clothing to clothe four Webkinz pets, at least ten figurines, twenty-odd bookmarks, eleven Friendship Bracelets, and and Amazing World Figurine and Road Trip Van 2013 code that they gave to me upon arrival.

This is excluding two clothing packages I already opened and two figurines given to my mother and brother

• The location was Amy's Hallmark, and they were running sales: Certain Webkinz pets were 3 dollars, and Signature pets were 5 bucks. (needless to say, I am now the owner of a Signature Penguin. His name is Gunter. He says hi.)
• The map said it was at Amy's Hallmark, though the tag for my Penguin and Rockerz Cow bought there say it's May's Hallmark and Jo's Hallmark respectively? 
• The games they had were Nakamas Plinko (formerly known as Mazin' Hamsters Plinko) and The Wheel of WOW. They really did not care how many times you played them, and there actually seemed to be no prize limit. This may have been because of the location and the guest turnout. Do not take this to mean the same thing will happen at all locations. 
• The energy and enthusiasm of the Road Trip crew was actually amazing, and they really seemed to be enjoying themselves the whole time. 
• Fun fact: This was the first stop of the year that was in an indoors location. 

The event wound down at about 4:20, and it was then that I decided to swing back around and ask some questions while my dad picked up some extra merch for Geocaching. 

Q: How do you decide where to go on the trip?

A: It depends mostly on which retailers are selling the most. We have over 300 sales reps; some just don't get picked for the year. 

Q: Do you fly anywhere?

A: We drive to all of our locations.

Q: Is the van comfortable?

A: The back seats need to be replaced, and we're waiting on the receipt for that. It actually is comfortable; there's room to stretch out.

[It was then that more people started to show up, so I went ahead and ended the interview.]

February and March 2013 Webkinz Pets

For February, we have...
 The Brown Boston Terrier, Longhorn Steer, Signature Arctic Hare, and the 2013 Valentine's Day pet: the Candy Heart Pup! In addition, the Springbok is February's Pet of the Month. Not the South African Springbok, which is an eStore only pet--just the Springbok. The difference is pointed out in the picture below.
 

For March, we have...
 The Hyena, Rainbow Pegasus, Peace N' Love Puppy, the Signature Miniature Dachshund, and the Rockerz Fox! March's Pet of the Month is the Bull Terrier.

PSI & PSF for October 2012 Rockerz and Signature; Halloween Virtual Pet; Snowflake Puppy Revealed!

Starting off, we have October 2012's Signature Pet, the African Wild Dog!

This hound has taken the hunt to an all new level with its PSI, the Gyrostalker! When the day is done, it settles down to a dinner of Wild Beast Brisket.

Or you could stick to something more urban, with the Rockerz Bunny and its PSI, Boom Box Bed, and PSF, Microphone Snow Cone!

If you'd rather spend the day at the beach instead, then the Rockerz Dog can help get the party started with its PSI, the Reggae DJ Booth! Maybe it'll share some of its PSF, Spicy Chicken and Rice?

If you'd like some more life in your party, then the Rockerz Poodle is for you! Get some Disco Ball Cereal to energize, then get out there on the Disco Dance Floor!

But we all know that home is where the heart is...so head on over to the Rockerz Horse concert, where you're sure to feel at home! With its Country Banjo Stage PSI and Blueberry and Bluegrass Cobbler, you'll have a mighty fine time!

For the 2012 Holidays, share some Snowflake Frosted Cookies with the merry Snowflake Puppy, then watch the snow fall from its PSI, Snowy Globe Chair.

For all of the major holidays celebrated in Webkinz World--October, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and St. Patrick's Day--there is a plush Webkinz, and a virtual-only Webkinz for each.

Others may not find it so cute, but keep in mind this is my favorite Webkinz pet, made for my favorite season, modeled after my favorite candy. I. Am. Sold.

The Candy Corn Mouse is Halloween 2012's eStore pet, announced on Facebook, and comes with Petrifying Popcorn to nibble on and a Pumpkin Carving Station! Carrying on the tradition of Webkinz Mice coming with tables for PSI.
Now we just need a Mouse with hearts for ears and a Mouse with shamrocks on its paws!

October 2012 Pets Announced!

Good news for dog lovers, because this October adds 7 colorful canines to the list! (Fun Fact: this means there are 133 different Webkinz dogs! This includes Signatures and Wolves, but not Lil'Kinz...think you can name them all?)

Our first pet is the Meerkat! We actually already know how this little guy looks online, due to his image being leaked in Webkinz World's newspaper before the plush was even announced:

The second is the Grape Soda Pup, which cute and looks very cuddly, but is essentially a purple Cream Soda Pup (August 2010 release).

The third is the Spotted Spaniel, which is pretty darn cute!

The fourth is an addition to the Wolves: the Black Wolf!

October's Signature pet is the Signature African Wild Dog! Just look at those ears!

Still holding out hope for a Holiday Cat, though.

Also to be released in October is the Holiday pet for 2012: The Snowflake Pup!


And if you think that's a lot of dogs: wait, there's more! We'll also be seeing the Fall 2012 Rockerz Pets in October!

Get down with the funky Rockerz Poodle, which represents the days of disco! Note the disco ball on its tail--clever!

Next up is the Rockerz Bunny, which represents hip-hop! Get it, because...it's a bunny, and...bunnies hop...yeah. And yes. It actually comes with a dollar sign necklace.

The words on it say "Island Rhythm".

Or perhaps you'd rather have a Rockerz Dog, who represents reggae?

Or a Rockerz Horse, who represents country and has a very pretty design?

We'll start with the Sunset Giraffe, a cute new pal with a mosaic of colors--and that's no tall tale! okay sorry that was terrible

It comes with a Tallest Toy Box PSI, and a Twiggy Pudding PSF.

For a walk on the wild side, we have the Coyote!

After a day of exploring, it walks across its Canyon Crosswalk PSI back home for a Prairie Omelet dinner.

And on this side of the ring, we have the Boxer!

After getting in its daily training in its Boxing Ring Trampoline, the Boxer looks forward to Champion Treats!

The Signature pet for July is the Hippopotamus!

In its spare time, the Signature Hippopotamus likes to ride around on its Muddy River Raft Ride, snacking on Short Grass Samosas.

A new addition to the Rockerz line! An eStore pet available now for 15,000 points (15 US$), the Rockerz Puppy is...oddly reminiscent of Justin Beiber. Honestly, look at the hair, the purple, and the clothing it comes with.

Ganz Reveals June 2012 List of Pets

Ganz has announced the plush Webkinz pets for June 2012, along with the July POTM.

June is going to be a rather meager month, with 2 Webkinz and 1 signature being released. And here they are...

The Summer Beaver, which is basically a pink, bipedal beaver with orange dots.

Can I make a small complaint for a second? They really need to learn how to adjust their camera settings. It just makes the Beaver look neon./endcomplaint
Moving on to our second pet, which is the Cocoa Lab.

Do not get this confused with the Chocolate Lab! The Chocolate Lab was released in 2009, is retired, has its Magic W on its back right paw, and looks like this:

That's my Lab, BTW. Her name's Ella.

The Signature for June is the Ragdoll Cat!

Simply gawgeous, dahling.

And July's POTM is the Puckerfish. what

Also, the Yellow Fluffy Cub and Tyrannosaurus, two new virtual pets, have been officially revealed on Webkinz Newz. (and it turns out that I was right, the T-Rex's PSI is named Amber Armchair)

The T-rex comes with an Amber Armchair PSI, and Gigantic Jawbreaker PSF.

The Yellow Fluffy Cub comes with a Totally Fun Toy Box PSI and Honeycomb Porridge PSF.

Pink Dalmatian, Signature Normande Cow, and Airborne Puppy PSI and PSF Revealed!

The Pink Dalmatian, a new pet to be released in May 2012, comes with a Cream Soda Slushy PSF, and a Sapphire Lamp Post PSI.
Before you say something about the PSI being named wrong, please take into account that sapphires are not strictly blue: yellow and green sapphires are a common occurrence, and pink, orange, and even brown sapphires exist. /the more you know

The Signature Normande Cow comes with a Silo Storage Tower PSI, and a Foie Grass PSF. Surprisingly plain PSI for a Signature, but I bet it holds an amazing amount of items.

 And we have a surprise new pet: the Airborne Puppy!

 

This cloud-chasing canine comes with a Cloud Control Station PSI, and a filling Winged Wet Food PSF.
All we know about this pet is that it is virtual-only.

WKN Reveals May 2012 Signature: Signature Normande Cow!

Here it is, in all of its spotted glory!

Some people are saying that it looks kind of mean, but I'm thinking that it looks more serious than anything. Can't wait to see what it looks like virtually!

Last 2 April 2012 Webkinz Plush Releases; 3 Virtual Pets Revealed on Webkinz Newz

And, as I thought, the Lil' Purple Piglet has triplets/siblings/clones/counterparts/etc..

They are the Lil' Blue and Lil' Green Piglets, and the three are identical in every way except for the color of their fur, PSI, and PSF.

Also coming soon to the eStore is the Sizzling Swan, a blazing bird that comes with a Firey Fountain PSI and a Fish Fillet Flambé PSF. A pretty PSI there, despite its blatant irony...

The 6th and final regular Webkinz plush of April 2012 is the Stormy Dragon, which sports lovely iridescent horns, feet, and a belly, an adorably goofy gaze, and an overall appealing appearance.

The Signature April 2012 pet is the Signature King Charles Spaniel, which is cute, even if it looks a little depressed...maybe that's because it's looking for a friend? *shrug*

Webkinz Cuddly Koala and Signature Bengal Cat PSI and PSF Revealed!

Webkinz Newz has posted an article revealing the PSI and PSF of two March 2012 Webkinz: the Signature Bengal Cat, and the Cuddly Koala. 

The Cuddly Koala comes with Eucalyptus Tea (PSF), and a Koala Clothing Package (PSI) with currently unknown contents.

The solid pink, glittery fur of this Koala is still not appealing to me. I'm a little curious to see what the clothing it comes with is--I think it's some sort of dress. 6/10

The Signature Bengal Cat comes with a Wild Salmon Souffle (PSF) and Cozy Canopy Bed (PSI).

Ah, how pretty! That's one of the best PSI's I've seen so far for 2012, its fur pattern is lovely, and its PSF looks yummy. 9/10!
The article for this pet adds a somewhat confusing line, however...

I think the WKN authors got a little confused there. Strangely enough, a similar line was found in the Welsh Corgi's PSI and PSF article...

However, their articles are not tagged with a "virtual" tag, so these are still definitely plush pets...Yeah. I'm as puzzled as you are.

Sneak Peek of Webkinz Signature Bengal Cat and Adventure Park Valentine's Quest Grand Prize

The Signature Bengal Cat will come to stores in March 2012! What beautiful eyes and markings it has.

Also, Ganz has announced a sneak peek of what the grand prize for the Adventure Park Valentine's Quest is...

The Chocolate Factory Machine! Remember, the Valentine's Quest can be played by any Webkinz World member, regardless of if they have an Adventure Park pet or not!
