Wednesday Updates 15/2/12

Contrary to what the floating chocolate ribbons insist, the POTM is still the Pom Pom Kitty.

Now you can reach the mall in half the time! You can still only hold 3 daily rolls, however. 

How to get the Sleepy Woodland Dragon has been revealed.

Ganz announced on their Facebook page today that they will e-mail 100 codes to randomly selected Deluxe members weekly, until April 9. It doesn't matter what level of Membership you have--be it a monthly or annual Membership, check your e-mail for a code, and you could find one!

Ganz has also stated that this promotion is not the only way to find a Sleepy Woodland Dragon. Perhaps it will become a Contest Pet later on? Time is the only thing that can tell.

    

The Lorax has arrived in Webkinz World.

 

As part of this promotion, Lorax Lookout, an Arcade game based on Where's Wacky (you can still play the original, though), has been added. 

The Lorax gives the same bonuses as Wacky in the original game, and the cards feature characters from the movie: Granny Norma, Once-Ler, Ted, Audrey, Pip, Bill, Humming Fish, and, of course, the Lorax himself. The game only goes up to level 6, but you can get about 10 KC once you get there.

I applaud the graphics. Those are the prettiest trees in the background, aren't they?

 Of course, there's also the Lorax quest in the Adventure Park, as well, which gives out some pretty neat prizes--I'll post them when I get them.

We also have the return of the Fijit Friends.

 This promotion is for the "Fijit Friends Newbies", which appear to be puppies for your Fijit Friend to play with. The things kids are interested in these days.
Anyway, they're being promoted with a game, "Rockin' Newbies", which is based off of Waddell's Icecap Adventure (you can still play the original). You play as Kenzie, and you slide around to gather music notes. Blue ones give you 5 points, gold ones give you 10, and red ones make you faster.

Webkinz Newz has announced 4 new Webkinz pets for the upcoming months.  

These pets are:

The Sleepover Cub, a lilac bear sporting a few yellow stars and matching yellow ears and muzzle. A pretty coat of fur it has, I like it. This is a virtual-only pet, and it comes with a Sleepover Sofa Bed PSI and Supreme Sundae PSF. Supreme indeed, there's gotta be at least 1,000 calories in that thing. And you can't actually see it now. I think the image messed up at WKN Headquarters.

The Spring Songbird, which is pretty darn cool, what with that head of blue feathers it's sporting and everything. It's also virtual-only, and comes with a Spring Melody Harp PSI, and a Grapefruit Symphony PSF. Wow...that Harp is just too awesome.

And here we have the Lil' Purple Piglet. Another virtual pet, I'm betting that there will also be a Lil' Yellow Piglet and a Lil' Blue Piglet, so they could be the three Lil' eStore Easter triplets. This has happened in the past, with the Lil' Purple, Pink, and Blue Lambs in 2011, and Lil' Yellow, Purple, and Blue Springtime Chicks in 2010. In the meantime, I'm just going to coo over how sweet it is, what with its chubby lil' belly and perky ears!
Too many Lil's in that description, anyway. It comes with a Purple Spring Greenhouse PSI, and Purple Marzipan Truffles PSF.

And the fourth announced pet is, of course, a plushie. It is the Springy Kangaroo, a new pet for April 2012!

Ganz has announced a new click-to-win event at Webkinz Newz.

This click-to-win features all-new Adventure Park clothing items, with a different one being awarded daily from February 16-29. They're pretty much the female-male counterparts to Adventure Park pieces awarded last year. Here they are...

Three new Challenges have been added.

  They are the An Air of Mystery, Arte and the Lost Tomb, and Does the Caged Singoz Sing? challenges. An Air of Mystery is unlocked after completing the An Artist's Touch challenge, and the other two are unlocked in turn after completing the Mystery one.
